Pitta Dosha Guide: Heat, Focus, Digestion, and Burnout

Pitta is the hot, sharp, intense pattern in Ayurveda. It often shows up through strong digestion, ambition, heat, irritation, and burnout.

What Pitta tends to feel like

Pitta patterns are focused, precise, ambitious, and warm. When balanced, that becomes clarity and leadership. When strained, it can become irritability, heartburn, skin flares, overheating, sharp hunger, or overwork.

Food first

Pitta usually benefits from cooling, steady meals: rice, cucumber, coconut, leafy greens, and less chili, alcohol, fermented food, and excess caffeine.

Routine second

Pitta needs recovery from intensity. Morning exercise is usually better than late-night training. Moonlight walks, cooling breath, and real stopping points matter.
