Kapha is the steady, heavy, cool, moist pattern in Ayurveda. It often shows up through endurance, loyalty, congestion, and inertia.
What Kapha tends to feel like
Kapha patterns are steady, nurturing, patient, and resilient. When balanced, they bring endurance. When strained, they can feel heavy, foggy, congested, emotionally stuck, or slow to start.
Food first
Kapha usually does better with warm, light, well-spiced meals. Lentils, bitter greens, ginger, and lighter dinners often help more than cold dairy, fried food, or sweets.
Routine second
Kapha needs activation early. Morning movement, sunlight, dry brushing, and fewer long passive evenings can shift the whole day.
